Parents Weekend Draws more than 500 guests

A longstanding tradition at MMI, Parents Weekend 2015 entertained families who traveled to visit their cadets during an open house weekend. On Oct. 9-10, guests were invited to sit in on classes, tour the Alabama Military Hall of Honor, and watch demonstrations by the choir/band, White Knights precision drill team, and Swamp Foxes. The softball, baseball and men's basketball teams were also showcased during Friday scrimmages. Catered cookouts and picnics were enjoyed outside during the perfect fall weather. The Alumni Brigade provided a hospitality tent, which served as HQ for weekend information as well as a refreshment station. Following the Mother's Review parade and lowering of the colors on Saturday afternoon, cadets were given overnight liberty to spend time with their families.
