Campus Renovation & Construction
Summer 2011 Barracks Refurbishment
Thanks to a generous lead gift to the Capital Campaign by Mr. James W. Rane, modernizing the MMI barracks is nearly complete as the second phase of the Room to Grow project was completed this summer. Each floor in Murfee, Wilkerson and Rane Hall was completely repainted and has new solid-core birch doors, stainless steel hardware, lever-action door locks, cove mold, and commercial- grade VCT tile flooring. All-new furniture completes the look.
In addition, the MMI Buildings & Grounds crew install brand new fan-coil units in the three student floors of Trustees.
Room dedications with personalized bronze plaques are still available for gifts of $3,000 and above.
