Coaching Career: Jake Wells became the school's 3rd Head Baseball Coach since the sport was re-instated. Coach Wells was the Assistant Coach under Brett Davis from 2007 through the 2010 season. As assistant coach he was in charge of all recruiting and worked primarily with the pitching staff.

Playing Career: Coach Rowell played two seasons at Angelina College where he helped the team to a 38-14 record and a confernce co-championship his sophomore year. He finished his playing career at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He started all 58 games his senior year, batting .269 with six home runs and 43 RBI's.
