FINANCIAL AID VERIFICATION CHECKLIST
HEA program requires that cadets receiving federal financial assistance (Pell Grant, Supplemental Grant, Academic Competitiveness Grant, Federal Work-Study and/or Stafford/Direct Subsidized Loans) may be reviewed for a process called, “Verification” if the Student Aid Report (SAR) (student)and the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) (school) is selected by Central Processing System or by the Institution.

As financial aid administrators we are tasked with resolving any conflicts in the information provided to us by prospective or returning cadets.
Please provide the documentation marked with an “X” by Deadline date. Failure to complete verification will result in no Federal Student Aid being received. Any Federal Student Aid posted to your account will have to be removed and returned.
Once documentation is received the Office of Financial Aid will complete the following procedures:
- Review verification worksheet and tax forms (if provided) with information reported on the FAFSA
- If the information conflicts with documentation sent in by the cadet, the FAFSA application will be corrected and a new EFC will be generated
- The student will be notified of any changes made to the financial aid file within 3 business days. A new award notification letter will be sent out by mail or email to the student for approval or denial.
