Personal Items to Bring
 
Each cadet should have the following articles and clothing.  Items can be brought from home or purchased in Marion.  Mark each  item with the cadet's name.  The school does not assume responsibility for personal property of cadets and is not liable for any lost or stolen personal property.  The barracks are Spartan, by design, and space is limited.  Contact the Commandant's Office if you have questions about what to bring.
 
 
  Athletic Shoes (running/cross-training, predominately white) 2

Permitted items include: laptop or desktop computer (Desktop monitors should not exceed 21 inches in size.), small stereo/CD player, bicycle (please provide bicycle lock)

 XBOX, WII, Nintendo, Play station, and other electronic gaming equipment is permitted. However students are prohibited from participating in electronic gaming during the school week beginning at 1800 hrs on Sunday and ending at 1500 hrs on Friday.

Prohibited items include:
-Electrical appliances (cook stoves, coffee pots, fans, televisions, heaters, refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, hot plates)
-Candles and other items that require open flame
-Plants and pets
-Weapons of any kind
-Alcohol, illegal drugs or associated paraphernalia
 
Civilian Clothing
Bring only enough civilian attire that can fit into one, 4 inches wide, hanging garmet bag.  Acceptable civilian attire includes: Dress or tennis shoes, jackets, blazers, or sweaters, full length slacks, collared dress shirts, collared Polo shirts (NO "T" Shirts).  The length for all shorts (no cut-offs), skirts, and dresses must not be higher than the tips of the fingers when arms are extended down.  All male cadets are required to wear a belt when in civilian attire.  Male cadets are not permitted to wear jewelry (earrings, bracelets, necklaces, etc) on campus.
