WHAT IS THE KNIGHT-FOX CHALLENGE?

Knight-Fox was designed to identify, evaluate and recruit high school juniors and seniors who aspire to be commissioned in the U.S. Armed Forces; attend one of the five U.S. Service Academies; or for those who want to know that Marion Military Institute is the right fit for their college career. Those prospective students attending Knight-Fox Challenge will have the opportunity to visit Marion Military Institute and learn more about its nationally recognized Corps of Cadets and programs:
- Army's Early Commissioning Program
- Service Academy Prep Program
- Simultaneous Membership Program
- Air Force ROTC
- Marine Corps PLC
- Leadership Education Program (non-military obligation)
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
The weekend program, February 23-25, 2012, is a test of determination consisting of 36 hours of physical, academic and time management skills. Visiting students will participate in the following challenges:
- Military Drill Down
- Warrior's Challenge including rope-bridge, cross country, relay, rappelling, paintball, and combat water survival (CWS)
- Fitness competition including two-minute push-ups, sit-ups, and the two mile run.
- Scholarship Ceremony where an estimated $2M dollars will be awarded.
Parents are invited to attend and the whole family can become involved. All students will be housed with MMI Cadets in the Ireland Center and will receive an MMI sweatsuit, T-shirt and platoon designated cap. The Saturday morning ceremony will highlight the weekend's events and the program will include inspirational speakers, entertainment and award recognition.

Successful participation at Knight-Fox can earn you a shot at over 60 available ROTC scholarships or other scholarships offered by Marion Military Institute. All cadets selected to attend Knight-Fox will receive a minimum $2,000 Corps of Cadets Scholarship. Other awards presented at the banquet include:
- Top Ranger $500.00 (one-time award)
- Public Service Award $500.00 (one-time award)
- Leadership Award $500.00 (one-time award)
- Highest Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) Score $500.00 (one-time award)
