If you have considered attending one of the five U.S. Military Service Academies, but believe you need more preparation, MMI offers the Service Academy Prep (SAP) program to help you! The program entails a solid academic core, an outstanding military program, and intensive courses to improve your test scores. Each year, MMI successfully matriculates approximately eighty-three (83%) of its SAP cadets into their Service Academy of choice.

Simultaneous Membership Program

Simultaneous Membership Program

The  Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) is a volunteer officer-training program that allows cadets to participate in ROTC while enlisted in the Army National Guard or Army Reserve.  Cadets who participate in the SMP program can earn their commission as a Second Lieutenant in just two years.

New! United States Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Course (PLC)

The Platoon Leaders Course (PLC) is the most popular route for cadets who wish to become commissioned officers in the United States Marine Corps.

College students can enroll in PLC when they are freshmen, sophomores, or juniors in college. Those who enroll as freshmen or sophomores attend two 6 six-week summer training programs at the Marine Corps Officer Candidate School, located at Quantico, Virginia. Students who enroll in the program as juniors attend one 10-week summer course.

Air Force ROTC - Detachment 010

The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (Air Force ROTC) offers you a chance to develop leadership skills in an environment that no other college course, sport, or activity provides in a single organization. Not only does Air Force ROTC prepare you for a successful career in the military, it prepares you for success in life. Air Force ROTC enables full-time college students to pursue their personal, degree program while earning an officer's commission into the active duty Air Force. Among other great benefits upon degree completion, students will have a guaranteed job as a 2nd Lieutenant and the satisfaction of serving their country.

Participants are instructed to check-in at the Admissions Office; doors will open at 8:00am. During NSC, participants will meet with the Admissions Office, Financial Aid Office, and Academic Advisors. Some students will be required to take an academic assessment test and get help with selecting their fall classes. The Director for the Bruce K. Holloway Service Academy Prep (SAP) program and Army ROTC Department will be on hand to answer questions pertaining to their programs respectively. The Commandant's Office will also be available to assist with questions pertaining to the MMI barracks, cadet life and rules and regulations. Before departing campus, each participant will clear the Business Office of any unpaid account balances. Some students will have an opportunity to visit the uniform department and get fitted for their uniforms...so bring a camera for those Kodak moments!

If you are planning to use air transportation to attend a conference, you should book your flight to either Birmingham (BHM) or Montgomery (MGM) Airports, or consider contacting Mrs. Wanda Paris at (800) 367-8949.
