MMI -American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is the Federal Government's response to the country's recent economic crisis. This Act is also known as the Stimulus Bill as it is an effort to stimulate the American economy. The $18,865,119 allocated to the Alabama Community College System's community and technical colleges, Marion Military Institute and Athens State University will be used for education and general expenditures in such a way as to mitigate the need to raise tuition and for modernization, renovation and repair of facilities.
The ARRA makes is very clear that taxpayer dollars spent under the Recovery Act will be subject to unprecedented transparency and accountability. This webpage will act as a portal for the public to track ARRA funds awarded to Marion Military Institute. The table below will be updated by the tenth day of each month. The reporting document links below will be updated within one day of the report deadlines set by the Department of Postsecondary Education under the guidance of the State of Alabama and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
